CEAC First Anniversary Activities

 

On 17 September 2009, CEAC has celebrated its first birthday with a series of activities. In the afternoon, the General Director of the Hamburg Ministry of Justice, Dr. Wolfgang Siewert, has received on behalf of the Hamburg Senator of Justice a CEAC/CELA delegation including, inter alia, the Chairman of the CEAC Board Hew Dundas, and the representative sent by the Beijing Arbitration Commission to the CEAC festivities, Dr. Hang Zhao. The meeting did concentrate on the developments and the cooperation in the area of alternative dispute resolution in China related business. At 6 p.m., the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce hosted a reception at which Christian Graf (Advisory Board CEAC and management of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce), Dr. Siewert (Hamburg Ministry of Justice), Dr. Hang Zhao (BAC), Hew Dundas (Chairman CEAC Advisory Board) and Axel Neelmeier (Management CEAC) have spoken on different aspects of the international cooperation in the areas of business and arbitration. The reception was attended by at about 60 guests from 7 nations. The festivities were concluded with an excellent VIP-Dinner for the foreign guests.
